I spent a few hours at Dollar General today, the picture above is all of my transactions however, I am not going to break every one of them down because I am super short on time today. I have a book that I need to work on for a client and we have a community event this evening. I did want to give you some deals though before the day was over.
For the deal, I purchased:
1 Liquid Gain for 5 dollars and use the 2/1 digital coupon
5 of the 1 dollar bags of Dentalife dog treats and used 5 of the 1/1 paper coupons
1 Gain fabric softener for 3.95 and used the 2/1 digital coupon
1 BIC Hybrid system for 6.00 and used the 3/1 digital coupon
1 52 ounces Palmolive dish detergent at 3.00 and used the 2/1 digital coupon
1 12 pack of angel soft at 5 dollars and used the 1/1 coupon
This made my total 27.95 allowing me to use my 5/25 Saturday coupon as well. My total for my coupons was 20 dollars meaning that I paid only 7.95 before tax for the 10 items making them only 79 cents each!
My totals for the day, however, were not that amazing. We all have days when this happens so don't get discouraged if it happens to you. I ended up paying 94.42 OOP for 209.80 worth of product (everything in the picture) for a 55 percent savings. I purchased 64 items and with my savings, it made them 1.47 each. Not too bad but not my best
Next time, I'll be more prepared! We all have to learn from our mistakes and I will definitely learn from this one.
