I am starting a series on my YouTube Channel teaching my viewers how to coupon and thought it would be a great idea to create a series on my blog as well.
A lot of the time when I talk to people who do not coupon, the main reason is because they think that it takes too much time. While you are going to have to put some time into couponing it does not take as much time as many people think. You do not have to put 20 or 40 hours per week into couponing. I don't even put that amount of time in and anyone that tells you that you have to is a liar.
Now when you first start out couponing, it might seem like it is taking a little bit of time. Of course, it is going to take you a bit longer, when you are first starting out than it will a seasoned couponer. However, I am here to help. I am going to do that a few different ways.
1. I am going to provide you with the deals as well as scenarios that you can use instead of looking them up on your own.
2. I am going to teach you how to create your own scenarios and how to get the most out of your dollar while getting the items that you NEED for the lowest price possible.
3. I am going to post weekly beginner scenarios that you are going to be able to do as long as digital only scenarios.
My hope is that by doing all of this, you will be able to save your money and put it to work for you instead of having to spend it on daily essentials.
How To Coupons:
We are going to cover step 1 today.
Step 1:
The first thing that you have to do when you decide that you are going to start couponing is to get your coupons. All of the coupons that I use come out in the Sunday Newspaper. In the paper you are going to find coupon inserts. These are what you are going to use in order to get the best deals at all of the stores that I go to.
While you are gathering up your coupons you are going to want to go ahead and decide how you are going to organize them. Personally, I use a binder. I clip all of my coupons when I get them and I organize them into my binder. This allows me to have all of my coupons with me all of the time which ensures that I get the best deals. You may find that another system works for you.
I have heard of people simply clipping the coupons that they are planning on using in one trip, taking only those coupons with them, and getting their items. I do not do this because I have found that there are times when the store is out of what I planned on purchasing. I always like to have a backup plan to ensure I am still getting the best deals. Taking my binder with me allows me to do this.
Homework:
Gather those coupons and decide how you will organize them.
