We are starting off the new year with some amazing couponing deals. As we move into the new year, I have a lot of great plans for the blog as well as for the YouTube Channel. I cannot wait to share all of the wonderful things that I have in store for you over the next year.
Let's get started focusing on the best deals for this weekend. These are going to be all digital scenarios. Because of the length of this post I am going to make a separate one covering the more advanced scenarios, using paper coupons and a mix of paper and digital coupons.
In order for you to use digital coupons you will have to sign up for a Dollar General Digital Coupon account. You will need an active cell phone in order to sign up. After you sign up you will get a text message which will allow you to verify your phone number.
You will then want to download the Dollar General app from the Play Store so that you can add your coupons to your account. In order to clip your digital coupons you will click on the + sign that is next to each coupon. Once you have added a coupon you cannot remove it from your account.
There are two different types of digital coupons. There are digital store coupons that look like this:
As you can see on the store coupon it states : DG STORE COUPON
There are also manufacturer coupons. They look like this:
As you can see on the manufacturer coupon it states MANUFACTURER COUPON.
You can use a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on the same item. For example, if you have a DG STORE COUPON for Febreze and a MANUFACTURER COUPON for Febreze as well, you can use the two of them together. You cannot use two manufacturer coupons on the same item though. What this means is that if you have a digital MANUFACTURER COUPON as well as a PAPER manufacturer coupon, you cannot use both on one item. You would have to purchase separate items to use both of the coupons.

Your total before coupons is going to be $27.90. At the register you will type in your phone number and $15.75 worth of coupons is going to come off of your total. This means that you are going to pay just $12.15 for all 10 products or just $1.22 cents per product! This is a great scenario for those that are just starting out and are only using digital coupons.

When you are doing this deal you are going to make sure that the cashier rings up the 25 ounce Canine Carry Outs before the 2 5 ounce bags. This way your digital coupon will take 4.75 off of your total instead of 1 dollar.
Your total before coupons is going to be $27.75. You are going to put your phone number in at the register and $24.75 in coupons is going to be taken off of your total leaving you to pay JUST $3.00 For all 9 products!
If you have not noticed, I did not repeat the same products as in the first scenario in the second scenario. The reason for this is because I want to give you as many options as possible. Sure the second scenario is going to cost you a little more out of pocket but when you look at the fact that you are getting almost 28 dollars worth of products that you are going to use for just 12 dollars before tax, it makes for a great deal.
I also did not want to use the same digital coupons in multiple scenarios because you are only able to use the digital coupons one time which means that if I put them in multiple scenarios you would not be able to use them more than once and that does not do you any good.
Of course, you can mix things up and get the items that you need but one piece of advice that I have for you is to always break your transactions up into transactions of 25 dollars each. Even if you are purchasing items that you do not have coupons for, breaking them up this way is going to save you the most because you can always use the 5 off of 25 paper coupons that come on the bottom of your receipts to get that extra bit of savings that you are looking for.
